Prototyping

A prototype is an early sample, model, or release of a product built to test a concept or process. Prototypes come in all shapes and sizes, some of the different types are as follows:

  •  Proof-of-Principle prototype. This allows, for example, the verification of a mechanism.
  • Visual prototype. This allows a designer, engineer or customer to see the actual appearance of a product instead of seeing the design in a CAD environment.
  • Functional prototype. This prototype combines the proof-of-principle prototype with the visual prototype to obtain a feeling with the functionality and design of the end product.

At EDAG Netherlands, we have the experience and knowledge to help you obtain the prototype you actually want. We can guide you through the entire process, from having an idea of a product in your head, to an actual prototype right in front of you.
