Dutch Design Week 2023

Last year at Dutch Design Week, we showcased the very first prototype of the EDAG CityBot. This year we will show - in close collaboration with the Embassy of Mobility - a sneak preview of how this concept is becoming a reality.

“Creating livable cities together” is the theme of the exhibition that will be on display during the DDW at the new DONNA location in the heart of Strijp-S Eindhoven. In the setting of a living lab, it is shown how creative makers work together with governments, scientists, professionals, residents, travelers and visitors to DDW. What does our city look like without cars in front of the door? And what do we get in return? More green? More homes? Places to gather and relax? Together we explore these questions in a series of workshops, experiments and lectures.

Exactly these questions were the reason for the EDAG CityBot; How can mobility contribute to a better living environment in the city? We present our vision on this issue as an integrated mobility solution. In our test laboratory in Germany, we test our CityBots in a controlled environment. We teach them how to find their own way, exchange their modules and, above all, how to deal with people. In very recent footage we show how far we are in realizing this vision.

The Embassy of Mobility Living Lab can be visited daily from 21/10/2023 – 29/10/2023 at DONNA, Philitelaan 57 in Eindhoven (NL).
